Welcome to Trim Men’s Shed.
For over a decade, our aim has been to provide a welcoming, safe environment for men of all ages and from all backgrounds. We can provide a positive social contact environment for those who find themselves with time on their hands due to retirement or who are living alone. This can be especially important when you live in a remote area without neighbors and other social infrastructure.
For some members the social side of the club is what they come for and they spend time chatting with others, exchanging ideas and experiences gained in their working life. We also have numerous visitors who come to see us and the occasional guest speaker to broaden our knowledge.
Although we are still quite a small group in terms of numbers, we have a big ambition to improve our facilities in terms of a new social room so that we can introduce an interesting programme of wide ranging activities. We learn a lot from each other so who knows, your passions and hobbies could become a new group interest that we can all enjoy.

Our aim is to work closely with the local community and other groups and societies who are trying to provide services for those less fortunate than ourselves or who work with children or those who are disadvantaged.

Whilst Covid-19 put a stop to everybody getting out and about for a couple of years, we’re now now back thinking about our extra activities for our members. In the past we’ve done a wide range of visits and activities, from boat trips on the Shannon to visiting the Guinness Factory in Dublin.
